hello. ricard. I`m 관우(김관우 2011140008). :)

My topic is dormitory. What is better between co-de dorms and single -sex dorms? I think Single-sex dorms is better than co-de dorms. Because, I`m free in single-sex dorms.
first , I can walk around without cloth in dorms.( I want convenient life.)
two , I don`t have to care the cloth style and girl.
three , I can concentrate on study.
four., I can`t think of doing something wrong to gilrs.

so, I can`t stand liviing with girl in dorms.

Sir. Could you tell me about the CO-ed dorms at next time?
I want to listen about the co-ed dorms system.
thank you.

I searched for tuitions of both North American and Korean universities. North American university fees are about 35,000$ to 40,000$ a year. That exchanges for 37,000,000 won to 43,000,000 won converted at current rates. But in Korea, the tuitions are much less than that. North American's is almost 6 times than Korean's. I have thought that Korean tuitions can be too expensive to someone who even really wants to study more. If it is lowered, more people could learn!! But now I noticed that Korean's are not that expensive. So I hope all of them will be reduced! Will it be problem in education qualities? Then I hope just not to be higher.

Most of north American universities have co-ed dorms. In contrast of north American universities, most of Korean universities have single sex dorms. Many Koreans think that it is inconvenient to live in co-ed dorms. Because living in co-ed dorms makes both sex of students care their life style. However, I think that living in co-ed dorms has good effect to both sex of students.

First, living in co-ed dorms give both sex of students an opportunity to familiar with the other sex. When both sex of student live in co-ed dorms, they would make relation with each other sex more easily than who live in single sex dorms.

Second, living in co-ed dorms allow both sex of student to change their bad lifestyle by observing the lifestyle of each sex. If students live in single sex dorms, they can not notice their problem of lifestyle. In contrast, they observe each sex of lifestyle, notice their problem and change their lifestyle.

In short, the co-ed dorms in north American universities have many merit. First, it can make connection with each other sex easily and change their bad lifestyle. For this reason, I think that living in co-ed dorms in north American universities is good idea than living in single dorms in Korean universities.

Hi richard. My topic is club activities. In my opinion, North American's club activities are better than Korean's club acitivities.

First, In Northe America, university students have a lot of times to enjoy club activities. In general, their classes finish at 3PM. However, In Korea, students have less time to enjoy club activities. There are so many assignment that students can't spend more time at club acitivities.

Second, there are many place enjoying club activities in north america. But, In korea, there are many spatial limitations. In my cases, when I was in high school's band club, there is no place that we play instruments. So we used to borrow bandroom that located far away from school.

In short, American students enjoy their club activities enough. But Korean students don't. I hope we can spend more time at club activities.

my name is 조우성. (2013140130조우성)

i think the American University and Korea University are have two differences.

First, American Unversity is have a better welfare system. but in Korea is don't have nice welfare system. For example American University is have nice traffic but traffic is bad, at least we have a school.

Second, American University is have nice Club system. because any American University have sport club , band , extream sport .... any more. but Korea University is not activity club. no many sport club , no nice club , ......... so i want Korea University club is a little more active.

thank you

My topic is co-ed dorms. What is better between co-ed dorms and single -sex dorms? I think co-ed dorms is better than single -sex dorms.
Because men&women coexistence in the world.
so men&women help with one another in co-ed dorms.
If co-ed dorms Introduction in our campus, I think a lot of couple formed this campus.
I think our campus men and men , women and women each playing. but co-ed dorms Introduction in our campus, men&women playing with each other.(Studying, excercise, traveling, eating etc...)
and campus mood will be very nice.
so I think co-ed dorms is very nice dormitory.

Although, American dormitories of universities are doing as a co-education hostel, Korean parents do not want to do, because they are worrying about that their children could get in trouble with the opposite sex. However, I think coeducation dormitories are better than single-sex hostel. I believe that co-education dormitories can provide me with experiences, and I would learn how to build harmonious relationships. Furthermore, if I become an adult and then get into a company, I may suppose to work and talk with the other sex. However, if I have undergone to live with the opposite sex by a co-education dormitories. Probably I could do better than the other people, who have used to live with the same sex by single-sex hostel. In the conclusion, I think, using coeducation dormitories are better than single-sex hostels.

hello richard!! my name is 최정훈(2014120119)
I think korea sex distinction dormiroty is much better than north Amercia university co-ed dorms.
korea sexuality culture is very different with North America sexuality culture. North America Is
more opener tan korea culture. In this point I think korea sex citizenship is less mature than north
America citizenship. Because korea had been influenced Confucionism from long time ago. So korea has
carefully mind in Male and Female. Although this days, Many people have open mind in sexuality culture.
But It is early time taht korea university has co-ed dormitory. It has a lot of chance to happen sexual
illigal case. So I think korea is not ready to have a co-ed dormitory yet. and In study part sex distinction
dormitory is better influence to korea university student. If co-ed dormitory bulid in any korea university,
it must supervise all student in dorms strictly. Finally I think korea university dormitory is better than
north america dorms.

Hello! Rechard. I',m 채승호(2013140138).
I think North America Co-Ed-Dorms are better than Korea single sex dorms. There are a few reason in my thinking.
First, Co-Ed-Dorms are more acvity than single sex dorms.
And, second, interact of another sexal person every day. So person get good relationship.
Last third, men likes women and crazy about girl's news.
So if Koreatceh has Co-Ed-Dorms, I'm really like that.
In short, Co-Ed-Dorms better than single sex dorms.

I investigated for average tuition of North America's. It is between 30000$ and 40000$ a year.
But, Our university's tuition is about 5000$. It is more than 6 times compared to South Korea.
Also Our a school hour is averagely 24~26 hours a week while North America's is averagely 18~20 hours a week
This situations are different than I thought that.
Meanwhile, I think Korea's tuition is too expansive
But it is lower than I expected
I can not choose what is more good.
It looks like we're better than that but there will be another advantage
But one thing's for sure, hard to learn and research as much as paying expensive tuition
So I hope everyone has achieved the desired goal!

FACT :
I googled some facts about foreign university student's workloads. What i searched about is Imperial College London(hereinafter ICL) They have many students more than Koreatech(May be twice?). But like Koreatech, they are famous for engineering(and science)in EU. So i'm going to comparing Koreatech with ICL.
In case of Mechanical Engineering Dep, ICL has 240ECTS by graduation. 5ECTS equals to 3 Hours class time per week. In doing some calculation, they have 18 hours per week on average. But I have 28 hours class time per week on average(I'm average student in Mechatronics Engineering Dep, HAHA). Then, Why we have such heavy workloads??
MY OPINION :
In my opinion, WE HAVE TO SUSTAIN HEAVY WORKLOADS.
The most difference of ICL and I is mother language. They can speak english freely and english is global language. If they want to explain Material dynamics, they just bring up in their brain and explain to someone. But, If I explain that, only koreans(including north korean 김정은 haha) can understand. Of course, if I have traslator, I can beat ICL's students about dynamics. But,,,,,,
THIS IS CRITICAL DIFFERENCE!!!
South Korea's economy is based on High-exportation(electric device, car, ship, processed steel, etc...). Because of communication with foreign buyer or researcher, Many Korean workers have to speak english well. I'm educated english since elementary school. I can listening and writing english well. But when I SPEAK in english, something stuck in my brain and my tongue shrink!!! What a ridiculous!
We spend same or little more times on studying major than ICL. Plus, we have to study english and it needs spending times. Additionally, we have to study humanities because we are university student. No Humanities? No Spirit. We are human, not a machine.
That's why I think like that. Thank you Richard.
P.S) Richard, If you have enough time to examine my comment, Please send me email about grammatical error or native speaker's expression. I really want to speak english well. It will be helpful to me :)

Hi Richard! My name is 이연지

My topic is about study workload between North America and Korea.

Student in North America universities usually study about 18 hours in a week. But korean students study from 25 to 30 hours in a week. There is big difference of study workload between north american and korean. Which is this good or bad?

I think north american study workload is better. Students should have free time after school for their hobby, self study, conversation with family abd friends and so on. North american students have their time to do other activities while korean students have lack of their free time.

University exist for study, but I think free time will give students good influence on studying.

hi Richard, my name is 진호준 2014120116

First what I say is I have an experience that I watched about study workload in North America's university on TV. On TV there, North American students were studying outside in the park even though that time was their class. Watching this, I thought the students are feeling free while korean students tend to be under pressure with studying.
And I saw North American students were doing their studies and reports on themselves. I thought they have autonomy.
And I watched the students were playing outside much time so students were playing outside much. Watching this, I thought that North American students just play with no studying while some korean students study only in the library.

Second what I say is I graduated from middle school and high school which there were only male students. As I played with just male friends, it was hard to play with female students because there are not many chances to meet. For example, when female students are standing next to me I can't do anything. And in korean university, it's more hard to play with female students because dormitories are separated between male and female. But in North American university, it's dormitories are co-ed dormitories. So if I was in there, I thought there's more chances to meet female students talking with them.
But if male and female students use dormitories together, there will be big problems. I thought one of those is the problem which can arise between female and male differentiated from the problem between male and male, female and female. And that problem can be more complex.

Third, I know that North American university is easy to get in it, but it's hard to graduate in that university. But Korean university is very hard to get in it and is easy to graduate from it compared with North American universities.

Hello Richard~! My name is 김기홍. My topic is co-ed dorms! And I think co-ed dorms is very good.
It may not be usual for Korean peoples to agree with co-ed dorms because of the korean culture.
I was born and raised in Korea and I was taught to follow the rules in Korean culture just like my other classmates. However, I do agree with co-ed dorms for students because I believe the balance between genders will bring some advantages to students.
In Korean dormitory, male and female students are not allowed to share the same living areas. But North american dormitory allows both students to share the area and socialize together.
It seems like the distinct between the male and female dormitory in Korea causes a difficulty in understanding each other in daily life and forms a kind of gender segregation.
However, North american culture emphasizes the harmony between two genders by practicing “equal opportunity” even in the small matter such as co-ed dorms. The other sex relationship and same-sex relationship is quite different. Man and female need each other to date, love and marriage. Nevertheless, separates those who are in such a relationship that the rule does not make sense.
And the most important thing : male and female is a good partner in the relationship because they make each other happily and perfectly.
Thus, men and women, make life together as a co-ed dorms, rather than separate the other areas. And we must make a another rule at co-ed dorms and try keep the rule.

i think that the single sex dorms is better than the co-ed dorms.

first, co-ed dorms is inconvenient than single sex dorms.
because when i was in single sex dorms, i was completely unaware of my looks.
but if i live in co-ed dorms, i was care about my appearances.

second, i can't focus on study in the co-ed dorms.
The co-ed dorms will be noisy from the laughter of the men and women.

third, most people are worrying about co-ed dorms.
because they could raise trouble of the opposite sex.

I live in a co-de dorm is like to live in a fantastic world thinks.
But that can not be understood residence is in South Korea. I was really sad.
Why South Korea is a unisex dorm can be a great experience to have the opportunity to make right.
Nowadays, society says that men and women should be treated equally. But Korea to abandon themselves think that opportunity. I think it will get out from a small fixed. One of them is a unisex dorm!! In addition, male and female students attending the University of the few opportunities to make friends. However, if you use the unisex dormitory naturally think they can get along. One day a man and a woman can live in the same dorm I thought the day would come.

Hi Richard! My name is 황규성 and student ID is 2011140144My topic is the co-ed dorm. I agree with the opinion that co-ed dorms. Never look at schools in South Korea are not co-ed dorm. Several disadvantages that arise because of this. See you one example Group projects are often looking at our school. However, because men and women like dorms to just come out and meet the meet. In addition, where a curfew until 2:00AM, so do not go into the finish, there is the inconvenience of having to meet again. In contrast, North America meet these constraints are freely. In addition, our school dormitory yen man, a man, woman, female dorm has access is available. When you move your luggage Semester at home looking after the girls that are very difficult to ask for help. Help us to help you, but that because it is not allowed sipeodo. Co-ed dorm yeotdamyeon details of these errors would have been. If the co-ed dorm life like each other because they share will be more intimate and sympathetic. When I saw these points seem to be comfortable, the co-ed dorms. Thank you

Hello Richard my name is 강우영(2013140004)

I've thought about the time of the lecture at the University of Korea and North American universities.

While students in Korea University listen to lectures of 25 hours on average per week, students in North America University listen to lecture of 18 hours on average a week.

I think in the case of North America, it is good than in the case of Korea.
The reasons are various.

First, more the time of lecture, the leisure time of students is more lacked. So, the stress of the students is remained.

Second, more the time of lecture, the studying time of one major is lacked and even this will be impacting of bad side to be a good engineer

Finally, when the time of lecture decreasing we can see the quality of life of university students in Korea can be improved

but most of american dorm have co-de dorms.
naturally co-de dorms have many goodthings.
but I think single-sex dorms is better than co -de dorms.
First single-sex dorms is very comfortable.because move about dorm with comfortable clothes.
example : in single-sex >>when I live 4th flour.
I can go down with night clothes.
Second I think many accident will happen in co-de dorms.
Last I think co-de dorm regulations will be strengthened.

Hi! Richard! I'm Son dong young
I'm starting to talk about study/work load of the University of Korea and North American universities. I think study/work load of the university of North America is better than university of the korea. Though average study/work load of the university of Korea is about 26 hours, average study/work load of the unversity of North America is 18 hours. It means North American students have more free time than Korean students.
Then North American students will have more time of club activities, exercise, listening music, book reading, being with friends than Korean students.
In conclusion I want to have more free time! It will be more cheering me up!

Hello, Richard.
I'm 윤승현. (2011140077)

I thought about differences of North American University's library and Korean University's library.
By contrast Byung-Cheon campus of Koreatech University in Korea that I be entered has only one library, Downtown campus of McGill University in Canada has eleven libraries.
This libraries are sorted education, science/engineering, medicine, and religion, etc.
That is surprised to me.

I think Mcgill University's library better than Koreatech University's library.
First, Libraries that are divided into many major are specialized. If library is only one, they wouldn't have special knowledge, but they have diverse knowledge.
Second, Many of libraries have space that store data. so, that is many of libraries have a lot of books and data than one of library.
Finally, Libraries that are divided into many major is an opportunity to widen your knowledge. If you go to library related your major, you would meet people related your major. so, you can make many friends in library and upgrade your knowledge by talking with friends.

For this reason, I think North American University's library better than Korean University's library.

Hi richard. I thought of difference between North America University and Korea University about tuition.
N.A.U tuition is very expensive. For example, Harvard university 1year tuition is about billion won. But, my university 2year tution is about million won. So while attending school, we paid fees about 2milion won, but N.A.U student paid fees about 4 or 5 billion. Between the two fees are 20 times the amount of difference.
My university can run this fees. Then, N.A.U can run more less fees, too. And this case, N.A.U have been very profit because of expensive tuition. In other word, N.A.U student will have a lot of pressure. So I want to say, i think to need N.A.U tuition reduce.

Hi, Lichard. I'm 김성훈(2014120021).
I investigated co-ed dorms by internet.
I think co-ed dorms are better than Korean university dorms. And I have three reasons.
First, I think co-ed dorms make campus couple easily.
Second, I didn't see female student in middle school and high school.
Third, I think men and women understand each other easily in co-ed dorms.
But I think co-ed dorms have few flaws.
First, men can't take off their cloth easily because of women.
Second, I think men who drinking alcholic drink can attack women.

I think co-ed dorms are not good in Korea. Many advanced countries have taught right sex education properly.
But, in Korea, many students don't know the sex education. And they have a light think of sex.
So, co-ed dorms can make many problems.
First, boys and girls can meet each other easily. They can meet and rest room or stairs which connect men floor to women floor.
Althought the dorm's rules, man can enter into women's room.
Second, it's very inconvenient and can make an invasion of privacy. In same sex floor, they can walk around with underwear. But they can run into
other sex. And bad man and women can invade other sex shower stall.
Thank you.

I think single-sex dorm and co-ed dorm have both advantages and disadvantages. But, there is inconvenience in single-sex dorm. For example, if there is a parcel to delivered, I can not receive it in person. I have to go to 1st floor of 소울관 and find my name from the list hardly, then sign at the next to my name, finally I can receive my parcel. Sometimes delivery man put parcel in the manless locker(?) , anyway, in that case, I have to pay some money for opening the locker regardless of my own will. If our university can solve those problems, I think single-sex dorm is quite good because we don't have to care about other boy's eyes.

The north american univ. libraries(n.a.u.l.) are divided from categories. each library posesses a lot of books. Korean univ. libraries(k.u.l) are almost combined. Eery category books are posessed in one library and it posseses few books.
But what is more convenient. In my opinion, k.u.lv is more convenient and more practical. Why?. Because n.a.u.l make us walk more. For example, if you want to loan two diffent kind of books, you have to go other library. k.u.l. don’t need to go to other library because of combining books.
Second, I think students don’t need many books especailly in one category. Books need for studing. But I don’t feel inconvenient because of having not many books in one category. I like to read books but not much. May be, Most of students will want to play with other things, too. Some students will want to read books but not much. To say badly, n.a.u.l. are very waste. To build libraries, They need a lot of building materials and land.
Thank you.

Hello, Richard. I'm 최현규
My topic of Northamerica universities versus Korea universities is study workload. Study workload of Korea is about 25 hours but Northamerica is about 18 hours. In other words, Northamerica students have various activities, much free time and so on. In my case, though I want to play tennis, because of study class of universities can't play tennis. However, if I were going Northamerica universities, I can play tennis over 3hours a day at least. Northamerica students also have more sleep. Sleeping helps mental health. Eventually Northamerica students have more good grade. I think study workload of Korea is needed to decrease.

First, single-sex dorms is more Comfortable than co-ed dorms.
for example, when I go other room, in co-ed dorms I am
opposed men's sight (about clothes).
Second, I think combat might be befall because of differences
of men and women. (for example, noise)
Last, In my shoes I can't concentrate upon study in co-ed

So far that is my opinion about dormitory between Korea and North america.

it makes student to do many homework.
because of it korea student don't get time to study by himself.

Thesedays creative thinking is very very important.
but in these enviorment korea student don't think creatively by
comparison with america student.

america student work hard ,play hard.
but korea student was suggested only work hard.
it makes differerce about creative thinking.

so, in my opinion america study method is better than korea.

I think Korea Uuiversity's students have homework. It is very inefficient. When students do their homework a lot, they are very tired
But America University's students are less homework then Korea University's students, so they have a lot of free time.
When they have free time, they play, break and do their hobby.
So they have less stress, It is more efficient to study.
Both things have pros and cons, but I think American University is better than Korea University.

Curriculum system between North America university and Korea university.

I think korea university tends to memorize information first then get the principles. But america university is the opposite of korean. when we memorize some information it is more efficient to understand the principle of things first.
But we have to learn a lot of things so we don't have enough time to thinking about the concepts.
So I think North america university is better than korea university

Hello, Richard. i'm 최영락
My topic is study wotkload. North America's workload is 18 hours but Korea's workload is 25-26 hours.

I think North America is more efficient than Korea. North America's students can more review and experience. But Korea's students can't do that. Maybe North America's students also can think more creative than Korean.

I think leisure is very important.
People can utilize leisure for studing or playing. So i think North America's university is more effeicient than Korea's university

what's the differnt between north america university and Korea university i think
first north america has good welfare for students

and second american's break time
we always have homework but they haven't
